"Calm Before The Storm"
The newest oil painting by Gail Youngquist and Vicki Vormehr depicts
a restless cowboy on his way to the rodeo. He has hired a pilot to get him
there. Much to his dismay, a female pilot is waiting, impatiently for him to
arrive!!!!!!!!!!!! You can just feel the friction between these two waiting to
erupt at any moment!
This painting is painted on a 48" x 48" canvas by both artists. It shows
the Tri-Motor Ford airplane of 1929, also known as "The Tin Goose" The
plane was made with corrugated metal siding and 3 motors. It was one of
the first passenger planes, carrying up to 12 at a time. It was also used to
fly the U.S. mail.
